Tania Floral is hiring!

As we shift into Spring air, we are moving and grooving into fifth gear! With wedding and the growing season right around the corner, we are expanding our team. We are currently looking to fill 2, part time positions in the studio.

Floral Assistant:
$19.00/hour
This is a seasonal position from May to October, 15-25 hours a week (Wednesday to Friday, approx. 7 hour work periods).

Duties will include:
- Receiving floral shipments
- Unpacking, cleaning and processing flowers
- Packaging and preparing orders for delivery
- Creating hand-tied bouquets for retail, subscriptions and summer markets
- Keeping the studio clean and tidy
- An enthusiastic warmth towards working as a team
- Assisting customers with flowers, offering flower care and knowledge, providing excellent customer service
*An eye for photography is a bonus!

Position Overview -

We are looking for an energetic and sweet soul to help keep the studio a well oiled machine and provide our customers with a gust of warmth! This is an exciting, fast paced position that requires physical aptitude as florists are required to lift, move and load on a daily basis. No experience is necessary, although applicants with experience will be prioritized. Assistants will be trained and provided with all of the beginner skills needed to fully understand and love their job! This position requires creativity and an artful approach to producing and designing hand-tied bouquets. A friendly, positive and professional demeanour is required and customer service experience preferred.

Floral Designer:
$25.00 - $30.00/hour
This is a seasonal position from May to October, 15-25 hours a week (Thursdays to Saturdays, approx. 7 hour work periods).
*Weekends required

Duties will include:
- Preparing vessels, and installation mechanics for weddings
- Designing custom arrangements, centrepieces and wearable florals such as floral crowns, wristlet corsages and boutonnieres with recipe or mockup
- Design and create handheld floral bouquets with a garden inspired, luxurious aesthetic that provide movement, depth and wonderment
- Creating large scale floral installations such as arches, ground florals and suspended arrangements
- Capability of lifting and moving 15-40lbs of product, equipment and event set-up materials
- Maintaining a tidy and organized workspace
- The ability to work under pressure and effectively problem solve when required

Position Overview -

We are looking for a special and vibrant, right hand person to fill a part time designer role at our studio. Here at Tania Floral, we pride ourselves in providing a playful yet elegant and romantic style in design. We are looking for an artistic wonder who brings a unique perspective and design eye to the table. This position requires floral experience (2+ years), an attention to detail, the ability to work independently as well as under time sensitivities is a must. This position requires physical and mental agility to efficiently assist with setting up full service weddings and large scale events (must be capable of lifting 15-40 lbs and comfortable on ladders). Weekends are required, G Driver’s License is an asset. A friendly, positive and professional demeanour is required and customer service experience preferred.
